Shannon Chamber Elects New President
Shannon Chamber has announced the election of Julie Dickerson, CEO of Shannon Engine Support (SES), as its new president. Dickerson succeeds Kevin Thompstone who served a three-year term of office.
Speaking after her election at a Chamber board meeting held in Shannon, Dickerson said: “I am excited to take on the Shannon Chamber President role and look forward to continuing to build on the solid foundation of the chamber network, working with the CEO, Helen Downes, and the chamber executives to support our local businesses, from multinationals to SMEs, and continue to drive opportunities for balanced regional development.”
Dickerson has been Managing Director of SES – a wholly owned subsidiary of CFM International – since January 2013. Prior to joining SES, she gained progressive experience through GE Six Sigma and Operations in GECAS and was promoted to lead the GECAS Engine Leasing P&L in 2007. She gained project leadership experience at Standard Bank in South Africa and in credit control/collections at 3M(tm) in the UK. Dickerson was born in South Africa, where she gained a BComm (Hons) Economics and Business Administration from University of Kwazulu Natal and UNISA before moving to Ireland in 1996.
