Dublin Chamber Appoints McQueen as Public Affairs Manager
Dublin Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of Graeme McQueen as Public Affairs Manager. He will commence the post with immediate effect.
McQueen has been part of the Chamber’s Public Affairs team since the start of 2014. In the new role, McQueen will lead the Chamber’s work on key policy issues and oversee the Chamber’s media relations activity.
Commenting on the new appointment, Aebhric McGibney, Director of Public Affairs, Dublin Chamber, said: “Graeme comes into the role at a hugely exciting time for the Chamber, particularly as we prepare our new long-term vision for Dublin out to 2050. Graeme will lead the Chamber’s policy team as the Chamber, on behalf of its 1,300 member companies, seeks to ensure that Dublin – the engine of the national economy – is positioned to make the most of growth opportunities coming down the line.”
A graduate of Napier University Edinburgh, McQueen previously spent almost a decade working as a business journalist and between 2007 and 2013 was Assistant Editor of Business Plus magazine. He also previously worked for the Scottish Government.
The announcement comes at a time of change within the Dublin Chamber after Gina Quin moved on from her role as CEO to become president of the National College of Ireland. McQueen’s is one of a number of appointment notices to be announced across the Chamber Network in recent months. For others see the Chamber news section of the summer issue of InBUSINESS.
