easyHotel Opens First Irish Branch In Belfast
Budget hotel chain easyHotel has officially opened the doors to its new guest accommodation in Belfast, its first foray into the Irish market.
Located on Howard st., the branch opened ahead of schedule, following receipt of certification. easyHotel says it has seen strong momentum in early bookings and is hopeful for a successful first quarter in operation.
The team bringing the easyHotel brand to Ireland is David Crowe from Holywood and Kevin Baird from Belfast. Commenting on their new venture, Kevin Baird, states: “With so much new accommodation on the market in the last number of months, easyHotel guest accommodation offers a modern, stylish and highly affordable alternative.
“Belfast is filled with historic pubs, fine restaurants and cultural hot spots –from museums to architecture. Our aim is to champion tourism in Belfast by offering a central base for tourists to explore the city.”
The new guest accommodation has four floors, free WiFi throughout and will have a new coffee shop attached to the entrance. easyHotel is hoping to appeal to visitors from the UK, Republic of Ireland and international tourists who wish to explore the city. Those coming to the Northern Irish city for its bustling nightlife will also be some of the clientele they hope to attract.
Earlier this year, the group acquired a freehold site for €9m in Dublin city centre. That site, located in Smithfield, will be developed into an easyHotel and be the first to operate in the Republic of Ireland when it opens.
