Veteran journalist addresses Dublin Chamber Annual Dinner
The great and the good from the world of Irish business gathered in the Convention Centre Dublin on Thursday evening for the Dublin Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner, sponsored by AIB. An audience of more than 1,500 business leaders were entertained by a keynote speech from veteran BBC journalist John Simpson.
Also speaking at the event, Simon Coveney TD, Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, addressed how he sees Dublin’s future housing needs being met. His words came after Dublin Chamber President Derry Gray outlined the initial findings from the Chamber’s ongoing work to produce a new long-term vision for Dublin out to the year 2050. Gray told the audience that ambitious long-term planning is required to ensure that Dublin can cope with the additional 400,000 people who are forecast to be living in the Dublin region within 15 years.
