Dublin Chamber Congratulates Quin on Appointment as NCI President
Dublin Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors congratulates Gina Quin on her appointment as President of the National College of Ireland.
Gina Quin has announced today that she is to leave her role as CEO of Dublin Chamber of Commerce to take up the position of President of the National College of Ireland.
Ms Quin has occupied the role of CEO at Dublin Chamber since 2001.
Speaking on behalf of the Chamber’s Board, Dublin Chamber President Derry Gray thanked Gina for her contribution to the Chamber and to Dublin business and wished her well in the new role.
“We are thankful for Gina’s leadership over the past 15 years,” he said. “Under Gina’s stewardship, the Chamber has cemented its position as the largest representative and lobbyist group for Dublin business and played a key role in the major developments that have shaped our vibrant city. Gina has worked with a clear focus on delivering for our 1,300 member companies and to influence key decision makers in Government. We wish Gina the very best in the next phase of her career.”
Quin said: “I am proud of the Chamber’s accomplishments over the past 15 years. I am sincerely grateful for the support I’ve received from the Board of Directors, our members and our employees. I am confident that I leave Dublin Chamber in a fantastic position as and ideally placed to work with the newly-formed Government to grow the economy and develop the Dublin region as the engine of economic growth.”
Prior to joining the Chamber, Quin ran Gandon Enterprises, worked for the Irish Trade Board and Lansdowne Market Research. She is a recipient of the Alumni of the Year award from UCD Michael Smurfit Business School, a Chartered Director and an experienced Board Director.
The search for a new CEO is currently underway, according to the Dublin Chamber.
