Shelbourne Hotel completes multi-million euro refurbishment
The Shelbourne Hotel Dublin has completed the last phase in a multi-million euro façade and guest room refurbishment project.
The refurbishment was led by international designer Guy Oliver, renowned for his work on many historic properties in London and around the world, including Claridge’s, The Connaught and Number 10 Downing Street.
Beginning with the first phase of guestroom refurbishment in 2015, followed by the restoration of the hotel’s 193-year old historic façade, unveiled in 2016, the recent refit of The Shelbourne’s Suites and Heritage Park View rooms brings the overall multi-million euro refurbishment of The Shelbourne Hotel Dublin to a close.
Further investment in the hotel is planned for over the coming months and into 2018 with plans to be finalised.
Commenting on the multi-million euro investment, Yvonne Donohue, the hotel’s director of sales and marketing, said: “For the past 193 years The Shelbourne Hotel has always reflected what was happening in the Dublin of its day. The hotel owners are delighted to unveil the last phase in the multi-million euro façade and guest room refurbishment project with a makeover worthy of this historic hotel, and look forward to the remaining enhancements planned for this year and next.”
