Finalists Announced for FutureScope One2Watch Competition
FutureScope, an Irish conference that promotes collaboration between the entrepreneurial community and multinationals, has announced the four finalists for One2Watch 2018. The competition seeks to find Ireland’s most scalable business idea and award the winning company with €2,000 and a platform to support its growth. The four finalists are:
- CroíValve, an early stage medical device company, that has developed a device to treat a common heart valve disorder – tricuspid regurgitation (TR), without the need for surgery.
- Electrical Analytics, which has developed a power quality monitoring system, backed by a cloud-based data analysis platform that enables power grid operators to have complete visibility over their entire distribution network.
- BeSpoke Choice, a sales platform that helps venues to increase their annual number of wedding bookings and the average revenue per wedding.
- BuyMedia, which provides SMEs with a unique platform that enables them to better plan, purchase, manage and monitor their advertising across all media channels.
The four One2Watch finalists will battle it out in a pitch to the panel of judges at FutureScope on 31st May, where the company who can best demonstrate the market need and scalability of their idea will be crowned the One2Watch 2018 winner.
The winner will get the opportunity to present their business idea on the FutureScope mainstage to an audience of 1,200, including investors, multinationals, Irish enterprises and entrepreneurs. The winner will receive a cash prize, a range of Dublin BIC supports, including three months free accommodation in the Guinness Enterprise Centre and consultancy services.
Michael Culligan, CEO, Dublin BIC, said: “One2Watch is a competition that really shines a light on the entrepreneurial spirit bubbling in Ireland today. We had start-ups and scale-ups from every sector apply for the competition this year and the four finalists reflect how innovative Irish entrepreneurs are transforming industry models. Be it medtech, advertising, event planning or infrastructure, each of the finalists has not only demonstrated their passion and originality, but also the capability to turn their business idea into a scalable and ready to be realised business opportunity.”
